K-OS + Olympics = first time time ever……..

As if it’s not enough for Team Canada to win Gold (x14), our favorite son K-OS helped close the 2010 Vancouver Winter Olympics!  First time a Hip Hop artist has performed at an Olympic ceremony…. and no better person to represent to the world than Kheaven and crew.  You can read more about it straight from the source at Flavorpill.  For those in NYC and LA, he’s playing two shows this week prior to jetting off with Drizzy Drake for the “Away From Home” tour (destined to be epic).

K-OS + Drake Tour

Feb 12
1:14 PM

To all our American friends, we are happy to announce that K-OS will be joining fellow Canadian Drake on his “Away From Home Tour”.  The madness starts April 6th in Charleston, IL and will be stopping at colleges accross the US.  K-OS is also playing two select solo dates next month in New York City (March 2nd at Le Poisson Rouge) and Los Angeles (March 4th at The Roxy).

Khv is making noise in the US as lead-in to the physical release of his critically accliamned Yes! album.  His video’s for “4,3,2,1” and “I Wish I Knew Natalie Portman” are currently spinning on MTVU and MTV2’s Subterranean.  He will also be co-hosting  a special “Black History Month” episode of BET’s “The Deal”.  For the uninitiated, this album is truely special.  We are happy to be helping Kheaven share it with the world.  Aside from stand-out solo tracks, the album also features collaborations from fellow Last Gang alum Emily Haines (Metric) and Murray Lightburn of The Dears.

K-OS – I Wish I Knew Natalie Portman

Dec 21
10:32 AM

MTV just added K-OS’s new video for “I Wish I Knew Natalie Portman“.  Hot girls, fast cars, police chases, Saukrates, a VJ cameo and K-OS’s unmistakably cool hip-hop  rhymes – what more do you need to convert the masses!  We just released Kheaven’s opus Yes! in the US.  Although initially it’s only available digitally, we are putting the puzzle pieces together and will release the physical CD and vinyl February 23rd in the US.  With the help of friends Ren, Leigh and everyone at ADA and Shock, Europe and Australia will follow in early 2010.  Yes! will mark the first truly global release for Last Gang, thanks to newly minted distribution deals and  the enlistment of staff in the UK and Europe.  We are proud to walk the line with Kheaven and help to introduce such an incredible Canadian talent to music fans around the world.  2010 will be epic!

Check out the video here.

….And thanks to our friend Rick Campanelli, check out Natalie’s reaction………
