DIAMONDS Tour – Atlanta, Nashville, Charlotte, Washington DC…..New York

Mar 27
9:49 PM

Five shows in Five days…seems a fitting end.

Too much to tell…

I think every disco-punk loving hipster girl at Georgia Tech was in attendance at Wetbar in Atlanta.  (I guess it helps when the venue is 200 yards from the dormitory…much fun was had!)

Club Play in Nashville was equally memorable…we even had time to check out the local talent on Broadway St.

John lit up the decks at The Forum in Charlotte; another YouTube moment that, unfortunately, hasn’t yet come to be…(we saw all those cell phones…watcha all waiting for…somebody post that shit and share it with the world!)

Next up was DC’s finest: 9:30 Club.  Considering its reputation, electro music has never sounded better in a rock club…an appropriate venue for the Diamonds Tour.  I think Mr. Washington would have been down..

31 days of madness…all leading to the golden gates of Pacha in New York.  To all of you that were there, you know what went down.  John closed the curtain on the inaugural Diamonds Tour by layin down an epic 7 hour set…yeah…a fitting end I would say.

Much gratitude to everyone who helped put this spectacle together – you know who you are.

Don’t fret if you missed it all this time around…it’s only just begun…send us your DJ suggestions.

DIAMONDS Tour – Miami (WMC/Ultra Music Festival)

PHOTO/VIDEO UPDATE – Miami (WMC/Ultra Music Festival)

We finally reached the beautiful sun and sand of South Beach….thirteen shows in seventeen days….California to Miami and all things in-between…Diamonds Tour 07: officially uniting party people from coast-to-coast<.

Seven glorious days and nights on Collins Street….poolside parties, blackberrying on the beach, and an endless supply of Crown Royal…could be worse.

It wasn’t all partying though….Friday was the official Diamonds show at Pawnshop…as well as other mid-week forays at Studio A and the Ultra Music Festival…does that count as work?  Check the videos and see for yourself.

Watch out for Jesse, Al and John…they’ll be gracing the cover of DJ Mag sometime soon…a sign of things to come.

Thanks to Alex and Adrian for treating us like royalty….as always.

Five more shows till the Diamonds Tour reaches the hallowed ground of Pacha in New York…praying we make it in one piece.

DIAMONDS Tour – Denver, St. Louis and Houston

Mar 17
9:47 PM

The Diamonds Tour officially took over SXSW on Friday…welcomed with open arms by all the electo party-loving hipsters that danced the night away at Spin.  I think all of Sixth Street spilled into the club….MSTRKRFT and John Digweed on the main floor and Tommie Sunshine upstairs…what more could you ask for?….(well, asides from a few more days in Austin to drink cold imported beer and chow down on barbecued Southern goodness…meat…meat…meat!).

Karma in Dallas was next.  Big thanks to Patrick for his uber-hospitality….we’re carrying on in the Delta Heavy tradition.

New Orleans……needs some love.  It’s sad to see what little has been done to rebuild The Crescent City….the birthplace of so much great music.  Broken buildings aren’t keeping the faithful down though….800 people packed the sold-out Ampersand on Sunday night to witness Jesse, Al and Mr. Digweed tear it up… (and I thought Las Vegas was the city that never sleeps?)

No rest for the jet set:

South Beach awaits….

DIAMONDS Tour – Las Vegas

Mar 15
9:47 PM

..…crashed cars, broken elevators and near fist fights: welcome to week 3

After narrowly escaping disaster in Vegas (long story…..) the Diamonds Tour brought its goodness to the fine city of Minneapolis.  New state, new city, new hotel…things were looking good right?  Nope.  En route to the venue, Jesse and Al-P got caught in an elevator….what are the odds?  Luckily, John stepped up and delivered an extra-special extended 3 hour set.  Recompense indeed.

Next stop was Denver.  Club Vinyl = 4 floors of electro madness.  Enough said.

1000 people packed Dante’s in St. Louis (a few more than the fire inspector would like I’m sure).

Karma in Houston took top prize in the “Loudest Sound System of the Tour” category….at least for now.

All in….4 states and 4000 miles in 6 days (trust me….Google Maps doesn’t lie!).

We’re following the yellow brick road to Miami and WMC…..poolside blackberrying on the beach!

Stay tuned: SXSW update’s on the way.

Almost forgot…..Diamonds Tour TV – got anything to share with the world?

DIAMONDS Tour – Phoenix and Las Vegas…

Mar 9
9:44 PM

On the move again…day 9 of 31:

It seems a bit crazy leaving the bright lights of Las Vegas after just 24 hours…especially after being shown such love from all the party people at the Jet nightclub.  John’s extended set kept us all dancing till sunrise – a beautiful morning indeed!  Check the pictures…can you spot Al-P?

The Axis in Phoenix was equally memorable.  Nitroglycerine bursts kept the crowd cool through MSTRKRFT’s devastating set…..a YouTube moment that, unfortunately, will never come to be (always bring extra batteries kids!).

Don’t despair, we’ve captured lots for your viewing pleasure…a day-to-day Diamonds chronology (check out our Tour Manager Darrin, he’s the baddest thing on 2 crutches!…seriously).

Next stop Denver.

DIAMONDS Tour – Hollyweird….

Mar 1
9:42 PM

So here we are….road report number #1: the first of many glorious photo updates detailing the cross-country madness that is the Diamonds Tour.

The first few shows have been amazing!  The crowds have been huge, especially in LA at the Vanguard…..1800 people all groovin to the music on a beautiful Friday night in Hollywood! – what more could you want?

San Francisco at Ruby Skye – the monitors alone were pumping out 21,000 watts – “Street Justice” has never sounded better.

John’s sets have been over the top – his fluid mixes providing a counterpoint to MSTRKRFT’s unique brand of dirty disco-punk.

Prepare yourselves in Phoenix and Las Vegas – the Diamonds Tour’s on your doorstep…….
